To all past customers of Paul Hobbs and Redwood Solar Electric:

I am saddened to announce Paul Hobbs, owner of Redwood Solar Electric passed away on November 13th, 2008 and his solely owned company is out of business. My condolences to his family and friends.
He and I knew each other as  associates in the very specialized field of Off-Grid solar electric systems and I realize the vacuum left by his passing will effect a number of folks in the San Lorenzo valley.We each have had long histories in solar, installing many a backwoods system, long before the recent advent of Grid-tie solar that has brought many young companies to the market.My own company, California Solar Solutions, formerly known as Land and Sea Solar, has been in business locally for over twenty years and in that time I have seen a number of well-installed systems by Redwood Solar and many a rural home in the San Lorenzo Valley has been powered by one of Paul's systems.
I am happy  to help out any of his past or even potential customers  wherever I can with system troubleshooting, servicing or upgrade work  as well as new system installations.
